Kim V. Engelmann

Kim V. Engelmann is an author of seven books. She frequently speaks at local conferences and retreats. Growing up on the East Coast, she worked in many pastoral settings, including work as the chaplain in a psychiatric hospital and a general hospital, and serving churches in urban and rural settings.

She holds a doctorate in Ministry from Boston University, a masters in Divinity (New Testament) from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor's Degree from Barnard College. Her special interest and doctoral concentration is in the area of pastoral care with children.

Currently she is the senior pastor at West Valley Presbyterian Church in Saratoga, CA. Previously she was the Pastor for Caring Ministries from 2001 to 2008 at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church. Prior to this, she was associate pastor of Trinitarian Congregational Church in North Andover, MA, and The Federated Church of Ashland, MA. She was ordained as a Presbyterian minister in 1985.

Kim and her family enjoy trips to the ocean, skiing, swimming, camping, baseball, horses, caring for their pets, and reading books by the fire on a windy night!
